About Us

Welcome to The Galadion Accord, a community-run FFXIV roleplay hub centered on the areas of Limsa Lominsa, La Noscea and their maritime environs and activities. We are primarily NA server based, with scheduled events on both the Crystal and Dynamis datacenters, in both NA and EU-friendly time zones.

We kept hearing folks in our FFXIV roleplay communities bemoan the lack of a Limsa Lominsa/La Noscea-focused Discord server, so we made one! We wanted to create a hub to help players make RP connections for themselves while also furthering our own personal roleplay goals.While the GALA team tries to account for a range of styles and tastes when planning events and RP scenes, not everything here will suit everyone’s roleplay palate. If you’re excited about what we have to offer, dive on in! If all you want is to vibe and meet people—to help move your own stories forward in your own way—you can do that, too!

Our goal for the Galadion Accord is to create a safe, supportive space to be social with others, and to give roleplayers the tools to curate their own experience. While it is our view that not every RP playstyle or social circle will fit every individual’s schedule, experience or personal taste, we also believe that the opportunity is there for anyone who wants to RP.On a personal level, we have our own characters with stories and motivations we’d like to explore. Even within the GALA team there is a range of different playstyles and preferences: slice of life/adventure, high fantasy/hi-tech and more. But our core values remain the same:• Respect. The affirmation of every person’s inherent worth and human dignity.
• Agency. The freedom and means to decide your own actions.
• Community. The sharing of ideas, resources and goodwill that allows a group of people to foster growth and create bigger and better, together.It’s our hope that server members will embrace these values and help make the Galadion Accord a welcoming, fun and inclusive space for RPers from all walks of life.

You must agree to abide by The Code in order to participate in the Galadion Accord Discord server. Most of this should be common sense stuff, but we've listed our complete rules below for transparency.The “tae long; dinna read” version:

• Respect is mandatory; don’t be a jerk.
• This is a 21+, adult-only server.
• Post in the appropriate channels.
• Keep spoilers where they belong.
• No porn, ERP solicitation or generative AI art.
• Don’t yuck other people's yums.
• IC ≠ OOC.
• Do not metagame, powerpose or godmod.
• Share the sandbox.

Section I. Requirements for server membership and engagement.Rule 1. Respect is mandatory; don’t be a jerk. Racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia and other forms of bigotry and hate speech are prohibited. We do not permit harassment, threats, bullying or dogpiling. We will not tolerate jokes about serious, potentially triggering topics including (but not limited to) pedophilia, sexual assault, suicide, slavery, and deportation. (If for some reason you are unsure whether or not a topic falls into the non-permitted category, please use the ticket system to inquire.)If you are found to be engaging in any of the aforementioned behaviors (either in this Discord, or other online or RL spaces), you will be removed from the server. This is an inclusive space for players without regard to ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, national origin, disability, neurodivergence or appearance.That said: While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, the GALA community team believes firmly in the right of all people to exist and live their personal lives free from undue interference. If you’re a closet TERF, Blue Lives Matter admirer or support fascist ideals, this isn’t the place for you. Habitually starting arguments or fostering an antagonistic environment is a fast track to removal from the server. If you have issues with another member that cannot be resolved by reasonable discussion or DM, please use the ticket system to put in a ticket with the moderation team.Rule 2. Section II. Policies for server posts.
In addition to the rules explained in Section I., posts in the Galadion Accord Discord must adhere to the following:Rule 3. Post in the appropriate channels. If you are unsure where a post should go, please refer to the pinned posts/instructions or use the ticket system to inquire. Accidental cross-posting won’t get you sanctioned or removed from the server, but your post might be removed for clarity and to keep channels organized and easy-to-use. Feel free to repost in the proper channel.Rule 4. Spoiler information, both for FFXIV and other new media releases, should be confined to the proper channel or spoiler tagged. For FFXIV, current patch content, future content and related discussions or media (Producer’s Live Letters, concept art etc.) are considered spoilers and should be posted in the #spoilers channel. Please be considerate and reasonable when posting spoilers for other new media, and spoiler tag your posts in the relevant channel(s).Rule 5. Pornography and other graphic or explicit NSFW (Not Safe for Work) media, and direct links to such works, are not allowed. This includes visual, audiovisual, text-based and other forms of writing, art, screenshots, video or audio clips. We do not allow members to solicit ERP or promote ERP venues in this server.You are permitted to post non-explicit media that is mildly suggestive (no nudity), provided the post has the appropriate content warning and is spoiler tagged.You may post a link to an artist or creator who produces both SFW and NSFW material as long as a) no NSFW media are directly linked or immediately visible and b) you spoiler tag the link and provide warning that it leads to a creator who may also have NSFW in their portfolio.We do not condone the use of generative AI to replace human creators. If an admin or mod steps in and tells you to knock it off, listen to them.

Section III. Guidelines for roleplay in server-facilitated spaces and events.While no one can (or should) tell you what or how to roleplay in your own personal RP scenes, when it comes to community RP, everyone must be able to coexist and share the space. For server-run events and pop-ups posted in #pop-up-rp, the following rules apply:Rule 7. Do not confuse IC (In Character) with OOC (Out of Character). Players are not the characters they write, and in-character thoughts and actions might not reflect those of the player. IC conflict should not be taken as a personal attack. Nevertheless, if you feel that you are being targeted IC for OOC reasons or vice versa, please open a ticket with the moderation team.Rule 8. Do not metagame, powerpose or godmod.
• Metagaming is the misuse of information that you know as a player (OOC) to influence or guide the IC actions of a character who lacks that information. News and rumors posted in #grapevine or marked by the writer as public knowledge are fair game.
• Powerposing imposes your character’s actions on another player’s character without their consent. Without prior consent or mutually agreed rules for interaction (combat and non-combat both), players should default to attempting to affect another character rather than assuming success.
• Godmodding is often defined in a similar manner to powerposing, but with additional elements of excessive power, omnipotence or invincibility. Remember that roleplay is a collaborative hobby, and vastly skewed levels of power and agency among the characters in a scene can make some participants unable to contribute to or enjoy the shared story.Rule 9. Share the sandbox. Characters, environments and situations should not drastically bend or break established lore conventions or make unavoidable, large-scale changes to the communal setting. This is to promote a common frame of reference for RP scenes without the need for prior knowledge and acceptance of personal plotlines or headcanons. You can have flames break out in a warehouse on the docks, but please do not set all of Limsa Lominsa on fire. (As always, you are free to do as you wish in your personal RPs, but do not expect others to automatically accept those scenes as canon.)Ignoring the RP guidelines to disrupt a server event or pop-up may result in your being asked to disengage or leave the scene. Egregious or habitual offenders may be removed from the server.

Section IV. Rules changes.The Galadion Accord Discord reserves the right to update or amend the server rules as needed at any time and will ping @everyone to notify members of the changes in an official post in the #announcements channel. Please open a ticket if you have questions or concerns.

Drawing the Veil: Synopsis

From the theft of a famous painting to a magical storm and an insidious malady felling people in different corners of Eorzea, the investigators are kept busy chasing leads through La Noscea and Thanalan.

Drawing the Veil: How to Get Involved

Our goal for the server story is to not only give folks something to gossip about in their RP scenes, but to help solve a mystery and shape the events surrounding it.You don’t have to commit to a series of events or have your character engage in combat to participate. Although some scenes do center around battles or other threatening situations, there are also plenty of opportunities for investigation, social lubrication (not that kind) and the like. We also know people have real lives and limited time; the story can and will sometimes move forward offscreen based on the offscreen actions and decisions of the characters involved.You do need to be a member in at least one of the host Discords (either The Galadion Accord or our sister server Jewel of the Desert to participate, since all of the event scheduling, planning and information-sharing is centralized there. Just go to the "Drawing the Veil" forum thread and drop a post letting us know you're interested!

Drawing the Veil: January Events

January 7: Through the Hecking Glass. The investigators are ready to study the mysterious Umbra sand glass and try a daring magical experiment that might just spell trouble!* This is a POTENTIAL COMBAT event! You can participate in the scene regardless, but OOCly choosing to be a noncombatant means forgoing any influence on the combat portion of the event.

January 8: Corpse Party. Armed with new information from the Thanalan lichyard burials, the investigators return to the body found at Costa del Sol to take another crack at uncovering her secrets.

January 11: Patent Pendant. The investigators still can't make heads or tails of the half-melted pendant found on the Costa del Sol body. Is it connected to the unidentified Thanalan patients, or is the timing of all these deaths coincidental?

TBD: Midseason Event. Our big midseason storyline event will take place in late January or early February!
